Wow, my first portfolio site – this was something special (to me, haha). I originally set out creating this site to showcase my career and talents to prospective employers. I wanted this website to really demonstrate what I could accomplish so I built almost all the assets by hand, including the picture collages.
The front-end was built on the Bootstrap 3 framework, there was no back-end involved other than a small PHP script to handle form submissions. Images were stitched together using Photoshop and various sizes were rendered to support the built-in responsive design. A link to my resume and social media sites were included on the contact page for those interested in taking a look.
Each page boats its own vibrant color scheme, with the dark blue acting as the “anchor” color across all pages. This adds a layer of consistency across the pages and makes them feel similar while also being very different at the same time.
To say the site is “busy” was an understatement at the time, but the focus of the site was to really WOW those potential employers. I also wanted it to stand out from the crowd and show a little bit of my personality in the process.
